BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (November 6, 2020) - This holiday season, Birmingham-based Bayer Properties is elevating the entertainment experience at The Summit with the installation of POSE, a festive and interactive exhibit featuring 10 uniquely decorated rooms for guests to explore and take photos throughout. Curated by Cultured to Create, the immersive art display will be open to guests from Nov. 20 through Jan. 3.

“This year continues to challenge us to think creatively, and to go above and beyond in our efforts to interact and engage with our guests at The Summit,” said Mindy Rohr, marketing manager at Bayer Properties. “Though it may look different than years past, we are beyond proud to partner with some of the most talented artists and curators in Birmingham to create a thoughtful, unforgettable experience through a little imagination, technology and holiday magic.”

The carefully spaced out, Instagram-worthy rooms will feature everything from a life-size North Pole mailbox to a 90s-themed room. Other rooms include an upside-down Christmas room, an optical illusion room, an interactive colorful sticker room, a floral installation room and more.

Santa and his workshop will also be set up within the POSE exhibit, allowing guests to safely visit with Santa and have pictures taken during their reserved time. Located within Saks Plaza, the POSE installation will utilize available retail space to construct the ten different rooms.

Founded by a small group of Birmingham creatives with varying artistic backgrounds, Cultured to Create was established with the sole purpose of highlighting local and emerging talent. Through an extensive submission process hosted by The Summit, artists Anniece Morrison with Lilly & Rose Flowers, Marquis Tucker, Jordan Thomson and Rachel Levinson with Bendy Knees Design, and Ryan Foster from the University of Montevallo, were all selected to team up with Cultured to Create to bring the POSE rooms to life.

In addition to the indoor displays, the activation will also spill outdoors with two interactive murals by 3DWD, a global creative service agency. The murals will utilize Quick Response (QR) code technology to create an interactive experience via guests’ cellphone screens.
